Finding Familiar Faces in the Pages of Time

Last Updated 9/12/2025

At Village Antiques & Art, every corner holds a story, but some of the most beloved treasures are the stacks of yearbooks waiting to be discovered. These shelves aren’t just filled with bound paper and black-and-white portraits; they’re filled with laughter, memories, and connections that span generations.

Efi Gianna, shop manager at Village Antiques & Art, shared that people travel from near and far to look through the pages of our yearbooks. Some are on a mission to find an old friend, a beloved teacher, or even a family member they never had the chance to know. Others stumble upon their own younger selves, caught in the frame of a class photo or a candid club snapshot. The joy of recognition, of finding a familiar face in an unexpected place, creates a moment of magic right in the heart of Central City.

What makes this space so special is more than just the shopping. Village Antiques & Art has become a gathering place where stories are shared freely. You’ll often hear visitors swapping memories, laughing together at vintage hairstyles, or gently pointing out the faces of those who are no longer with us. In a world that moves quickly, these yearbooks invite us to pause and honor the ways our lives are interwoven.

That is the heart of Central City: it’s not just about finding something to take home, but about finding connection; connection to the past, to each other, and to the stories that make our community unique.

We invite you to visit and experience it for yourself. Whether you’re searching for a piece of your own history, looking for a thoughtful gift, or simply hoping to spend a quiet afternoon immersed in memory, the yearbooks at Village Antiques & Art are waiting for you. Come flip through the pages, and see what, or who, you might find.
