The RenewAll Staff is spreading the love this month for Valentine's Day! Each staff has prepared a "love letter" for the community. Read on to see what Denise, Social Enterprise Hub Manager and Curator at RenewAll, had to say. Additionally, follow us on social media for fun Valentine videos from us to you!

Dear Community,

I love so many things about being a part of RenewAll Inc. The people I work with keep me motivated. The non-profit organization’s mission and projects keep me driven, inspired, and aligned with my own values. Respect for my work and ideas keeps me fulfilled and engaged. The Central City community is what enables me to believe in a thriving future where local initiatives blossom, and small entrepreneurs and artists can see their dreams realized.

I was initially connected to RenewAll by way of my pre-existing work with Village Antiques & Art and my own small business located within. I’d also collaborated with Lauren Kemp as part of the Central City Association and other events. When RenewAll Inc. was formed in 2019, I was hired as what is now the Social Enterprise Hub Manager. Village Antiques & Art also expanded and added experienced staff. Some of the biggest accomplishments include the Central City Museum, Gallery 610, and the Makers Art Fairs.

My favorite project? Gallery 610.

My favorite love? The entire RenewAll staff, artists and dealers.

My favorite impression? The sense of community.

I believe that to have a healthy, sustainable economy, we all need to be surrounded by creativity, joy, and ingenuity. RenewAll represents that to me. The local shops blend well together, and our connection to the surrounding neighborhood, Marshall University, West Edge Factory, Huntington businesses, and the Tri-State area have a sort of a positive ripple effect, and we are seeing that reflected to us in return. Together, we have created and continue to create a sense of place and an area people want to experience.

RenewAll Inc. has had a profound impact on the community and the revitalization of the Central City Historic District. There’s still much to accomplish, and I love being a part of those efforts.

Love and respect to Lauren, Sequoia, Efi, Michelle, Lex and Megan! Shout out to all the visual artists, musicians and performers who have participated in our projects and events! Shout out to the small business dealers at Village – you continue to be at the center of it all!

Love,

Denise
