RenewAll hosts Love & Mehndi: Love in All Forms

Last Updated 2/17/2025

This Valentine’s Day weekend, Village Antiques & Art & RenewAll Inc were honored to host Izzy for the “Love and Mehndi” event, a celebration of love in all its forms. As Izzy adorns hands with swirling vines and delicate floral patterns, she weaves stories of connection—reminders that love is not only about romance but also about community, friendship, and self-expression. Each henna design becomes a reflection of the person wearing it, a temporary yet deeply meaningful symbol of their personal journey.
Izzy Brown first discovered the magic of henna as a child, tracing delicate designs on her own hands with homemade paste. What started as a hobby quickly blossomed into a lifelong passion, allowing her to share the beauty of this ancient art with her community. Now, years later, Izzy brought her talent to Central City, offering her skills as an artist to those eager to experience the tradition of Mehndi firsthand.
The presence of Izzy and her henna art at this event aligns perfectly with the mission of RenewAll Inc. As an organization dedicated to revitalizing Central City and fostering creative placemaking, RenewAll embraces initiatives that bring people together through art, culture and shared experiences. The “Love and Mehndi” event was more than just an artistic offering; it was a moment of connection, an opportunity to gather, celebrate, and uplift local artists who enrich the district with their talents. Visitors were invited to take photos in the themed Valentine’s Day Photobooth and search for hidden coupons throughout the store, securing deals with their favorite vendors.
By inviting Izzy to share her artistry and this event, Village Antiques & Art and RenewAll highlight the importance of inclusive and accessible creativity in community development. Whether through the simple joy of receiving a henna tattoo or the deeper appreciation of Mehndi’s cultural significance, visitors will leave with more than just intricate designs on their skin—they will carry forward the spirit of togetherness that lies at the heart of RenewAll’s mission.
