New Exhibit in Gallery 610: Peace, Love, & Understanding

Last Updated 7/17/2026

Good vibes are flowing in the Central City Antiques District with not only summer fun, but also new local art that’s looking to find a home. RenewAll Inc has launched a new show in Gallery 610 this July 2026 titled “Peace, Love, and Understanding,” which includes seven local artists and over 12 pieces of original artwork. Gallery 610 is a program of RenewAll that exists to provide local artists a place to sell and display their work while also creating a unique experience for the residents and visitors to the Central City community. We have six returning artists and one new artist involved in this exciting show. Read on to learn about the artists and some of the work they submitted.
Ann Grimes is a returning Gallery 610 artist from Lavalette, West Virginia, whose creative practice spans painting, fiber arts, and sculpture. After a 33-year career teaching art in West Virginia public schools, Ann continues to explore new techniques, including needle felting, weaving, and the use of recycled materials. For the “Peace, Love, and Understanding” exhibit, Ann submitted a few different pieces, one titled “Flowers.” She said, “These flowers are made of hand-dyed wool, roving needle felted into a piece of fabric.” She also added that flowers are cherished for their beauty and said, “They are given as a symbol of love, sympathy, and friendship.”

Another returning artist is Lydia Zilkowski Azzarone, originally from Northern Nevada and now living outside Huntington, who draws inspiration from nature, fashion, and femininity. Lydia submitted a massive piece that welcomes you to the show, titled “Lily with Pearl.” Kathryn Thompson, from West Huntington, also returns to Gallery 610 with a few submissions as well. Photographed left is one of Kathryn’s pieces titled “Whisper,” which she described as “a painting inspired by Waterhouse, whispered secrets, and dandelion wishes.”

Laura Moul returns to Gallery 610 and brings her photography to the “Peace, Love, and Understanding” exhibit. One piece in particular, titled “Mountain Laurel View at Dolly Sods,” brings a feeling of calmness the longer you look. Hannah Fitzgerald, a fine artist and photographer based in West Virginia, blends humor, curiosity, and a love of the eerie into her work. We highlighted “Catch & Release” (photographed on the right), an acrylic painting that Hannah says was inspired by a moment she shared with her niece and nephew. “A jumping spider crawled out of a toy while playing outside, and while the children’s first instinct was to kill it, I explained that it has the right to exist, especially in its home, the outdoors,” she said. “So I grabbed a jar and saucer and caught the vibrant arachnid to release in the garden,” she added.

Robby Moore has been a mixed media artist, exhibiting, curating, and teaching since 1999. Moore also has over 20 years of experience in Arts administration, working in art galleries, theaters, and nonprofit organizations. He returned to Gallery 610 with a mixed-media piece that certainly stands out in the show, titled “Dream State.”

Finally, our newest artist to Gallery 610 is Chelsea Adams, who submitted an acrylic painting on canvas titled “Good Love.” Chelsea Adams is a spray paint & mixed media artist based in Lexington, Kentucky,  and we are so excited to welcome her to Gallery 610. She uses primarily spray paint and acrylics for her pieces. “A central theme in my work is the exploration of human emotion and the journey through life,” Chelsea said. “With each piece, it is my goal to put whatever feelings I can't put into words on a canvas. As well as evoking feelings and emotions out of my viewers. I am also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and my identity plays a significant role in my artistic expression,” she added.

This exhibit will be on display from July 12 - August 30 at Village Antiques & Art. The group show aligns perfectly with RenewAll’s annual Far Out Fest, scheduled for August 15 from 12 PM- 6 PM at Village Antiques & Art. During the event, we will host an artists' reception for those involved in “Peace, Love, and Understanding” and invite the public to engage with the artists and learn more about their work!
