Reflecting on the Last Few Months at Gallery 610
As we look back on the Spring and Summer seasons, Gallery 610 continues to be a bright spot for local artists and art lovers alike. Located inside Village Antiques & Art and powered by RenewAll, the gallery has steadily grown into a creative hub for regional talent. Since its founding in 2021, Gallery 610 has showcased juried work by artists living within a 200-mile radius of Huntington, WV. Exhibits rotate every 90 days, keeping the space fresh and inspiring with every new collection.
Over the past few months, two distinct shows have brought powerful new perspectives and artistic voices to the forefront.
Power of the Sun (May–June 2025)
Our spring show welcomed work from six incredible artists: A.D. Maynard, Kathryn Thompson, Michelle Afford, Alexei Mei Black, Laura Moul, and Tiffany Bailey. Titled Power of the Sun, this group exhibition explored themes of energy, light, and transformation. In addition, the gallery featured a mini solo exhibition by photographer Clayton Spangler, whose photography continues to draw local interest.
Changing Faces by Abby Sowards (June–July 2025)
This summer, Gallery 610 presented a solo exhibition by local favorite Abby Sowards. Changing Faces offered a look at the evolution of Abby’s creative voice, blending earlier works with more recent explorations of identity and expression. Visitors had the chance to meet Abby in person during the artist reception on July 26th as part of our Summer Saturdays event.
Coming Soon: Woodstock Revisited & Rags to Riches
Our next group exhibition, Woodstock Revisited, is now on display. Participating artists were invited to reflect on the iconic 1960s–70s era and what it means to them today. Whether through peace symbols, protest art, or personal memories passed down through generations, this show promises to spark thoughtful conversations and bold creativity. Visit the Gallery today to see the display!
