Light Up Central City Returns: Event Highlights
The holiday season begins in the heart of Huntington’s antiques district as the Old Central City Association (OCCA) hosts the second annual Light Up Central City celebration on Saturday, November 29th, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Coinciding with Small Business Saturday, this festive district-wide event invites families, friends, and visitors to explore 14th Street West, shop local, and enjoy an afternoon filled with holiday magic.
This year, Light Up Central City brings even more warmth and community spirit. “Central City Antiques District is the place to support local businesses this holiday season,” said Lauren Kemp, President of the OCCA. “We are happy to continue the traditions of visiting with friends and family and hope that everyone can enjoy the holiday lights.”
Guests can kick off their holiday shopping with the Central City 2025 Holiday Gift Guide, launching online the same day. The guide showcases a curated list of gift ideas from Central City’s local businesses, perfect for those seeking one-of-a-kind antiques, handcrafted items, classic collectibles, and thoughtful treasures.
Visitors are encouraged to stroll the district, take in the festive decorations and shop displays, and enjoy the special offerings from each Central City local business. From antiques and art to vintage finds and specialty foods, the shops along 14th Street West have something for every holiday list.
