Earth & Culture Day 2025: A Celebration of Community, Creativity, and Care for Our Planet
This April 2025, the Historic Central City District came alive with music, movement, and meaningful connection during Earth & Culture Day 2025—and what a beautiful day it turned out to be! This annual celebration spotlights local and regional artists, organizations, and community initiatives that honor our planet through creativity and collective action. This event would not be possible without the partnership of the Appalachian Reuse Hub, RenewAll Inc, and Coalfield Development.
From live poetry and contemporary dance to hands-on workshops and inspiring talks, the event brought together neighbors, artists, and advocates to honor Earth Day through the lens of Appalachian creativity and sustainability. Attendees enjoyed delicious local eats from Native Eats, Sweet Bliss Bakery, and El Botonas Food Truck, while exploring exhibits and engaging in conversations about community workforce training and environmental stewardship.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who came out to support the event, including our incredible volunteers, local vendors, and community partners. We’re especially grateful to our co-hosts, Coalfield Development and the Appalachian ReUse Hub, as well as our generous sponsors: Huntington Area CVB, Stonewall Nightclub, and Huntington Pride. Let’s keep the spirit of Earth & Culture Day alive by celebrating the planet in small ways every day.
