Through the Window Summer Art Contest

Through the Window, live drawing perspectives with local artists and local businesses, drawing contest is back for the Summer!

Free and open to artists of all skill levels and ages in the tri-state. Build your skills, portfolio, or your real-life social network by connecting with artists and businesses in Old Central City. Sit inside participating businesses and draw/paint from life. Artists will utilize indoor elements as still-life subjects, look out windows for a street scene, or brave the elements & sit in any public space to capture architecture, landscape elements, etc.

Winners would have their originals matted & framed with prints & digital copies.

1st Place: framed original, postcard set & digital copy.
2nd Place: matted original, postcard set & digital copy.
3rd Place: matted original & digital copy.

There will be different categories depending on participants with an exhibit featuring the winners in the fall.
Register on the day of the event by signing in at noon & dropping off artwork by 4pm at The Frame Station. All works must be completed from noon to 4 on the day of the event. Bring your own chair, all needed supplies, and set up respectfully in any participating shop along 14th St. West.

*Basic art supplies are available if needed upon request at no cost.

Participating businesses include Renewal Pop Up West, The Frame Station, Grounded Earth Collective, Village Art & Antiques, Cicada Books, The Wild Ramp, Hattie & Nans, and The Glow Studio.
