Central City's Earth & Culture Day

Mark your calendars and join us for Central City's first Earth & Culture Day Celebration! Hosted by RenewAll Inc., our celebration will be an add-on to our previous Planet Waves Earth Day Celebration, which offers recycling resources and upcycling activities for participants! Since 1970, Earth Day has marked a day for the environment, and this year, we will honor the cultures of the people who live here. Check out the Event Schedule below. Interested vendors should fill out the form ASAP. Deadline for vendors is April 5th, 2024. 

Live Performances at the Gazebo Stage:

• 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Experience the enchanting melodies of solo singer Ginger Wix.
• 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM: Dive into the rich tapestry of Appalachian Folk Lore with Vashti.
• 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Engage in Sacred Dialogue with Dr. Don Giles.
• 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Witness the majesty of Falconry and Raptor Education.
• 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM: Let Annie Wolfe's solo performance captivate your soul.
• 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Feel the rhythm with solo rapper Sin Revel.
• 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Groove to the tunes of Living Room's band set.
• 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: End the festival on a high note with The Heavy Hitters' band set.

All-Day Activities:

• Explore the art of Printmaking with Joe Public Press and Mountain Mindful.
• Immerse yourself in a Weaving demonstration led by Kim Boley.
• Learn about water quality with WV American Water and stormwater management with Huntington Stormwater Utility.
• Get hands-on with planting WV Wild Flowers with Appalachian ReUse Hub, Goodwill, and Marshall Sustainability.
• Participate in Composting for Earth Day hosted by Marshall Sustainability (compost available throughout the event!).
